Dr. David Samadi Is A Doctor With A Heart

Dr. David Samadi is the SMART robotic doctor. Dr. Samadi uses a robotic device to perform urology surgeries. He is the head of the Robotic Surgery Department and is Chairman of Urology at New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital. The SMART robotic machinery he uses in his surgical procedures was invented by him. With the SMART device, men undergoing surgery for cancer related diseases have come through better than ever with less chance of incontinence, no reoccurrences of the disease, nor any other harmful side effects.Dr. Samadi shares his experience and knowledge on robotic surgical platforms with his peers and medical students. In a recent interview, Dr. Samadi spoke about prostate cancer and older men. He stated that men age 65 plus who have been diagnosed with this disease should interview their surgeon with questions like how many surgeries have they performed, what were the results and the outcome.

Dr. Samadi does not recommend radiation therapy over surgery because the disease could return when it is too late. Dr. David Samadi believes that in removing the prostate, patients have a better than a one hundred percent survival rate. Dr. Samadi revealed that Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee from 2012 underwent a prostate surgery in 2017. Colin Powell, the former Secretary of State and John Kerry a presidential candidate from 2002, also had prostate cancer surgery. All three men recovered perfectly with no side-effects. Because of his international reputation and his surgical successes, he has received many honors like being named to the Best Doctor’s List from America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connoly and New York Magazine. Dr. David Samadi was born in Iran in a Jewish/Parisian community.

After the 1979 Iranian Revolution at age 15, he and his younger brother had to leave and move to Belgium without their parents. David Samadi knew he wanted to be a doctor and when he came to the U.S. in 1984, he worked hard and was accepted in the Stony Brook School of Medicine and in six years he graduated with honors. He furthered his medical training at the Montefiore Medical Center, majoring in oncology and proctology with a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. David Samadi has launched a live streaming web TV show on every Sunday at 12:30 pm EST, called the House Call. Dr. Samadi features national and international medical experts as his guests to discuss current medical topics for both men and women.
